ABOUT US
A problem that has always been handled by phone calls and luck.
In the Maldives, a charter lives or dies on the person leading it in the water. The right guide knows which break works on a dropping tide, which channel to dive when the current turns, and how to read a swell window days before it arrives. Finding that person has meant working through a personal network and hoping it holds, for surf season and dive season alike.
We built a bridge.
Tour operators publish their trips on Tidal Guides and connect with qualified local guides who match what the trip actually requires: the right certifications, the right experience, the right knowledge of those waters at that time of year. No chasing contacts, no gambling on someone unproven days before guests board.
For guides, it opens doors that were previously closed by circumstance. Skill and reputation have always existed here in abundance. What hasn't is a reliable way for that skill to be seen beyond the people who already know your name. Tidal Guides gives local guides a professional profile and steady access to work across the industry, not just the operators they happen to know.
MALDIVES ONLY
We are built for the Maldives and only the Maldives. These atolls have their own conditions, seasons, and standards, and we would rather serve one place properly than many places at once. Every guide on the platform is local.
Tidal Guides was founded by Edam Naseem, who saw the same gap from both sides: operators struggling to find guides they could count on, and capable guides waiting on work that never reached them. The platform closes that gap.
Ocean adventures here depend on the people leading them. We are here to make sure the right ones find each other.
